Pfeifer Industries Hosts Tour for West Chicago Community High School Students

TMA member Pfeifer Industries hosted a tour for an economics class from West Chicago Community High School Wednesday, Nov. 11.

Jim Donovan spoke to the students about manufacturing and gave them insight into the operation of his shop. He showed them some of his technologically-advanced machinery and explained how it allows him to run the company without any staff besides his business partner.

The students were very receptive, and were particularly enthusiastic when they were able to hold and examine parts. They asked several questions throughout the tour. Pfeifer Industries, located in Naperville, produces custom and stock timing belts and pulleys. They have produced parts for race cars, snowmobiles and many other products.
